About Millstone Redemption

Why the Millstone?

When people first hear our name, they are often struck by its gravity. The image of a millstone massive, crushing weight of stonecan feel intense, especially when paired with the gentle, healing work of supporting women and children who have survived human trafficking. But this intensity is intentional. It is biblical. And it is the dual promise of our mission. Our work is rooted in one of the most powerful and ternifying warnings ever issued by Jesus. In the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 18, verse 6, He says:

"If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea."

This is not "gentle Jesus." This is Jesus the Protector, defining an unbreakable boundary around the vulnerable. It is a declaration that the exploitation of women and children is an abomination that provokes divine fury. For too long, traffickers have operated in the shadows, believing themselves to be untouchable. The

"Millstone" in our name is a reminder to them that there is a cosmic justice they cannot escape. It signals that we do not offer "charity" in the face of this evil; we offer a fierce, defensive line. We stand between the predator and the prey.

Why Redemption:

The deepest meaning of Redemption is not for the trafficker, but for the survivor. To the woman or child who has been treated like a transaction; bought, sold, and abused, this verse is a profound promise of their worth. "YOU" have paid the price! God does not look upon their suffering with indifference. He values them so highly that He threatens the ultimate judgment upon those who harm them. For the survivor, the millstone is not a weight that drags them down; it is a weight that pulls their pursuer to the bottom of the sea, finally setting them free. It means that God is angry on their behalf. It means that the shame is not theirs to carry—t belongs to the ocean floor. The word redemption, means transformation, the hope of restoration that leads to a better state than the original.

Our nonprofit exists to be the physical hands and feet of this protective love. We partner with organizations to provide a sanctuary where the "millstone warning" is enforced, ensuring that no one will ever again cause these survivors to stumble. We stand for justice. We fight with fierce mercy, and we invite you to stand with us in enforcing this protective.
